What is Home Watch?
The National Home Watch Association defines Home Watch as “The visual inspection of a home or property looking for obvious issues.”
Are you a house sitter service?
We are not house sitters. Our core service includes periodic visits to your home where we follow a specific and mutually agreed upon checklist. We are in your home for less than an hour per visit and take great pride in that your home is as you left it for your return. House sitters are not looking to be caretakers and generally do not have the expertise and knowledge to handle problems that may arise.
What type of reporting can I expect from you?
Tequesta Home Watch Service will send you a detailed report by email with pictures of any problems identified upon completion of inspecting the interior and exterior of your home. We use a software service called HomeWatchIT. This allows us to send you a detailed report each time we visit your home. It gives you peace of mind to know we really did visit your house. It includes photos of key areas that are important to you, including letting you know the temperature and humidity of your home, as well as any other areas we discuss in advance.
We have a neighborhood watch program. Doesn’t that do the same thing?
Most neighborhood watch programs are passive by nature and do not provide the level of engagement with your property that Tequesta Home Watch Service provides. We will check your property’s interior and exterior in far more detail than you can expect from a neighborhood watch program.
If I need coordination with contractors doing work on my home can you help?
Certainly! We can coordinate access to your property for any situation. We will work efficiently and directly with vendors, removing you from the process to coordinate work, deliveries, and other projects at your home based on your needs and instructions. We also provide on-site support to clients during renovation projects or coordinate regularly scheduled maintenance for your property.
If you find a problem what type of notification will I receive?
Upon the completion of our visit to your residence, Tequesta Home Watch Service will provide you with a comprehensive report. This report will include any identified issues, accompanied by photographs and detailed descriptions. Should we take immediate action to mitigate potential further damage, we will promptly contact you to discuss the incident and determine the appropriate course of action for repair.
What is Tequesta Home Watch Service?
Tequesta Home Watch Service is an insured, bonded, and accredited professional Home Watch Service providing Tequesta, Hobe Sound, the greater Jupiter area, Jupiter Island, & North Palm Beach. We check your property and identify problems or potential problems that can occur while your property is unoccupied. Additionally, should we identify an issue, we can manage any actions required to resolve the problem. We provide a proactive physical presence that is unavailable through a remote alarm monitoring service. We can help with most requests you have.
My alarm company provides security for my home. What value do you add?
Alarm companies generally monitor entry into your residence, fire, smoke, and, in certain instances, water leaks. However, they do not typically monitor potential issues such as broken pipes, mold, pests, problems with air conditioning units, appliances, or squatters. We identify these problems or the potential for their occurrence and notify you for guidance, taking corrective action as necessary.
What are your credentials?
Tequesta Home Watch Service proudly displays the accredited banner of the National Home Watch Association. We have been thoroughly vetted, trained, and approved by this organization. We are bonded and insured for your protection. Additionally, we adhere to the NHWA’s Code of Ethics.
Do you provide keyholder services?
Certainly! We can coordinate access to your property for any situation. We will work efficiently and directly with vendors, removing you from the process to coordinate work, deliveries, and other projects at your home based on your needs and instructions. We also provide onsite support to clients during renovation projects. Additionally, we coordinate the delivery and shipment of vehicles.
Can you help me with home maintenance services?
Although we do not offer home maintenance services directly, we collaborate with a network of reputable contractors and vendors who provide comprehensive home repair and maintenance solutions. Regardless of the nature of your project, we will assist you in obtaining referrals, coordinating services, and serve as your onsite liaison.
Are you a property inspector?
While we check your property, we are NOT property inspectors. Property inspectors are usually involved at the sale of a property providing a detailed inspection of the structure, plumbing, electrical, heating, and air condition systems. Tequesta Home Watch Service provides a visual inspection of your home or property looking for obvious issues.
